Assuming an average density of about 10 times that of water (steel is about 8, this has to be technobabble superalloy but there's plenty of air in the mix), we get a msss of about 1022 kg, in the vicinity of that of Earth's Moon. Standing at the farthest point from the center on the hull gets about a third of a standard gravity, give or take. On the closest point is trickier, since the front and back pull away from each other and cancel out, but it'll be around half a standard gravity.

*grin*

The Moon's gravity is 1/6th G, right? So if the A.R.R. ended up in a lunar trojan point (say, L4), at the very least tides would get messed up on Earth?

It'd be noticeable to those who depend on watching the tides, but the Sun has the main effect on our tides. The Moon has a slight additional effect. Also, surface gravity and "gravity felt from Earth" are different things...being about the same mass as the Moon or a little smaller, it would have nearly as much effect as the Moon. Not talking massive flooding, but shipping schedules that depended on high or low tides at particular times would be messed up.

Pickle's nickname wasn't just "because it was", it was because of the "Dill Bickson" spoonerism. As I recall.

You may well be right, as you would be in a position to be right.

That said, Pickle is eternal.
